In ancient mythology, Astraea was the Star-goddess— of justice, purity, and the celestial order. She was the last of the immortals to live among humans during the Golden Age. As humanity descended into wickedness and war during the Iron Age, she finally abandoned the Earth and ascended to the heavens. And became the constellation of Virgo — and the scales of justice she carried became Libra.
Because of Astraea, the Renaissance poets wrote of powerful women who brought
celestial order back to the world. We believe that time is now.
Project Astraea is a fashion collective founded by women scientists, engineers, and designers who believe that what a woman wears is a form of power. Drawing on deep knowledge of materials science, human physiology, and biomechanics, we create garments that work with the female body — celebrating its strength, supporting its function, and elevating its presence in every environment from the laboratory to the launch pad.
